OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL BRANDING

THE REQUEST:

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church is a well respected and established church in Vienna, Virginia. The current logo had been used for the past 30 years. OLGC wanted to update their image to a modern look while retaining the artistic imagery of the Our Lady Iconography.

RESEARCH:

PFM researched the various imagery that had been created to represent the Lady. Most of the illustration work was flat and static. PFM wanted to create something with more dimension and humanness.

CHOSEN IMAGERY:

PFM settled on an image of a statue of the Our Lady. PFM then manipulated the file to reflect the shadowing of the mother and Child. PFM then began to craft the artistic look of the image, making various modifications. The tile motif added greater modernization while keeping with the reverence and heritage.

FINAL DESIGN:

The final was dramatic and artistic, and the created stationery became a great backdrop to showcase the new branding.
